Components tested
The motors, motor controllers, actuators, and more parts of the system were tested separately with code. This unit testing ensures that there are no inherent faults in each system component. CAD Design Refinement
Final touches of the CAD were done. Optimizing joints and integration between parts. The website layout and information were finalized!

FEA Testing
With Cad design finalized, the team carried out FEA on the completed CAD to ensure that the design was structurally sound. The cad passed all the FEA tests! Data that was to be on the website was collected and organized.

Cad Designing Begins!
All detailed designs were complete! The team can now begin cadding the components that the worked on and researched! Cad design for all the components were finished and finalized!

In Detail Design Week 3!
Mo finalized the code concept and initiated website design. Nigel performed part selection and motion analysis for the chassis system. Avinash completed suspension design, determining spring contact and damping coefficient. Final touches on self-balancing and powertrain designs were done by Avinash and Arshak, respectively. Abhi finalized electrical components and battery selection. The team identified vendors, opting for Digikey for electrical components, the University of Waterloo's Engineering Student Design Shop for chassis materials, and ElectroCraft for selected motors.

In Detail Design Week 2!
Mo completed the code concept and process for stair climbing. Nigel finalized the seat and track base design, conducting material analysis. Avinash calculated suspension parameters, selecting a suitable system. Force requirements for self-balancing were determined, and a cylinder was chosen by Avinash. Arshak initiated motor selection calculations for the powertrain, while Abhi researched the microcontroller for electrical and controls design. The team progressed to identify vendors for physical prototyping based on individual subfunction components.

In Detail Design Begins!
With initial research concluded, the team initiated detailed engineering for the wheelchair. Mo began coding joystick functionality, Nigel focused on stair-climbing chassis design, Abhi started sensor research, and Avinash started research on bike suspensions and electric actuators.

The initial design of the Device has BEGUN!
A thorough evaluation of potential solutions led to the proposal of a stair-climbing wheelchair design. The team collaborated on system designs, incorporating custom chassis, electric motor, joystick control, and a dual tread-wheel climbing mechanism. To ensure project progress, a quarterly timeline and work breakdown structure were established.
