Code concept and process was finalized by Mo. Website design and structure began.
Part selection was carried out by Nigel to ensure that the chassis system would be able to be cadded. A motion analysis was also run to ensure that there would be no mechanical contact between any component during operation.
Suspension design was officially completed by Avinash, he did the calculations to find the spring contact and dampening coefficient and based on those selected a specific coil over damper.
Final touches were carried out and Self Balancing Design was officially completed by Avinash! This was done by doing calculating for the maximum force required by a linear actuator and therefore selecting a specific linear actuator.
Final touches were carried out and Powertrain design was officially completed by Arshak!
Abhi finalized the electrical system components needed for the device. All support devices needed to operate our main components were also chosen and finalized. Battery current draw was calculated, and the battery was chosen!
Members have identified some vendors to acquire parts from. The electrical team has decided to order sensors, fuses, and other electrical components from Digikey. The mechanical team will get aluminum and other structures required for the chassis build from the Engineering Student Design Shop run by the University of Waterloo engineering department. The motors that have been selected are supplied by ElectroCraft.
