Arshak contacted and had a long chat with our two stakeholders Aaron and Emmanuel to deeply understand the troubles they face during their daily lives as a university student. We found that the biggest issue was operation of their devices in inclement weather, bumps, stairs and the most importantly the extreme cost of the device. Some fancier models cost more than $8000 CAD and the stair climbing ones are over $50000 Canadian Dollars!
After hearing the major troubles our stakeholders faced, we had a companywide meeting (all members) to finalize what our product will solve. We were determined to allow the user to traverse everyday obstacles such as stairs, small bumps, and unpaved surfaces. Focused on operation in all weather conditions, collapsibility for travel, the safety of the user and the affordability of the device.
